Working at Heights training is a mandatory requirement in Ontario and other regulated jurisdictions for workers who perform tasks at heights of 3 metres (10 feet) or more. This certification program is intended to reduce the risk of falls, one of the leading causes of injury and fatality in construction and trades.
TradeCerts’ Working at Heights Awareness course focuses on hazard recognition, fall prevention strategies, and the use of fall protection systems. While this course is not a substitute for full-day CPO-approved in-class training, it is a foundational course for general awareness and employer-based refresher programs.
Participants will learn:
– Regulations and standards applicable to fall protection
– Hazard identification in high-risk environments (roofs, scaffolding, lifts)
– Proper use of harnesses, lanyards, anchors, and guardrails
– Emergency procedures and fall rescue basics
– Roles and responsibilities of workers and supervisors
Upon completion, learners receive a digital certificate demonstrating basic competency in fall hazard awareness. The course can also be used as part of onboarding or pre-site access training.
Ideal for: general labourers, roofers, HVAC installers, construction workers, site supervisors, and tradespeople.
